Description

AGASAN in the Ilokano dialect means “to heal or give medicine”; In this workshop we’ll explore the power of resonance and frequency through creating collective sound and receiving a sound bath offering. No prior music experience is necessary.

What to bring

Please wear comfortable attire and bring a yoga mat, blanket (optional) and bottled water. Note: This workshop will be audio/video recorded.

RSVP and Cost

All Filipino Mental Health Initiative-SF events are open to the public and every workshop teacher is offering their expertise at no cost. However, we want to acknowledge the considerable amount of time, energy and labor required to facilitate the events offered in this healer series. We invite workshop participants to consider donating to the guest practitioners as a means of supporting their work sustainability as healers, teachers, cultural bearers and service providers in the community. About the Facilitator

A second gen Fil-Am descending from Kalinga-Apayao lineage, Rachel has formed a project to create an interactive multimedia experience, using art as an integrative practice addressing trauma.
