Bern (Kontent Films) is the epitome of the saying, “Still waters run deep.” On the surface,  all is calm. Submerged just below, is a whirling dervish of passion, empowerment, and storytelling prowess. Cinematographer, Editor. Filmmaker. SF, CA.

JAIME LEBRIJA

A R T I S T   B I O:

Jaime is a multimedia filmmaker, and photographer focusing on the ocean and environmental sustainability.

He graduated from The New School with an M.A. in media and film with a concentration on human rights and has designed participatory media projects engaging youth in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, group homes in Oaxaca, Mexico and community centers in Oakland, CA, resulting in films which were screened internationally.

While in New York City, he helped launch the Youtube Studios in NYC where he produced films with Google, LinkedIn, and oversaw hundreds of productions and was also responsible for lighting design for concerts, events, and live-streams at the space.

While living in Bali, his love for the water, light and sustainability work led him to explore film and sound as therapy. He became certified in Watsu - an aquatic therapy - as well as a level one SSI certification in freediving.

Currently, he spends his time photographing underwater, riding waves, and learning to spearfish. He completed a new drone film on the grey whale migration and is a contributing filmmaker to reforestation media projects globally including reforesting the monarch butterfly biosphere.

Always looking to create with others, he is moved by the unseen and unheard in the mainstream, and through transmedia storytelling creates space to spark action and change.
